Boron (Bo (min. 0.5% w/w) is a micronutrient or trace element required by plants for translocation of sugars, uptake and utilization of calcium ions, maintenance of membrane integrity, pollen germination, cell elongation and cell differentiation. In the plant's metabolism, zinc-Zn (min. 3% w/w), is essential for tryptophan synthesis, the precursor of indoleacetic acid (AIA), responsible for the enzyme production that promotes the lengthening and growth of cells. Use of Zinc (min. 3% w/w) is involved in the activation of several enzymes, analysis of varying applications of zinc on sugarcane crops show that zinc fertilizers increases sugarcane production, growth, tillage, quality, longevity, and stalk tonnage. Cane yield was influenced by ferrous sulphate Fe (min. 2.5% w/w), treatment and foliar application recorded the highest mean cane yield micronutrients play a vital role in the growth and development of sugarcane plant. Apart from this, aqueous formulation also contains Copper (min. 1% w/w), Manganese (min. 1% w/w) and Molybdenum-Mo (min. 0.1% w/w) which are the important micronutrients responsible for the overall development of sugarcane crop.
